Current Happenings @ FAM

Summer @ FAM!

We have expanded outside, totaling about 25 venders for the summer season!  Now featuring multiple cheeses, local meats, vegetables, canned goods, honey, syrup, creative wares and some new prepared food venders waiting to sell you their goods.  Because of you and our determined producers, our non-profit market has grown fast, just out of the grass roots effort of Lamoille farmers.  Inside River Arts Center, we will be hosting demonstration and classes in the kitchen.  The guest chef dinner series will start up again come October. The market has spread out in the parking lot, finding just the right spot.  We also will continue being throughout the Center, thus creating more seasonal vender spaces, feel free to fill out a vendor application—and drop it off at the market!

Upcoming FAM Events:

Discussion Course: "Menu for the Future"
A six-week discussion course exploring the connection between food and sustainability. LAST MEETING: 8/20

Fifth Wednesday Special!
Every month with a fifth Wednesday—get 1/5 ($2.00) off a FAM tote bag

August 20th—“Youth Day”
Any youth is welcome to come sell their self-grown or -made goods. There will be an opportunity do a chalk art square outside and perhaps make a small pizza of your own. Just show up and bring your stuff. Make sure to wear a big smile! (Remember it should be grown by the youth or use some Vermont goods in the craft to meet our guidelines.)

September Wednesdays: Preserving the Harvest Workshops
6:00-8:00pm, $20.00 for the series (four Wednesdays)
Each week will focus on a different technique to food preservation. Sign up during market or call Stephanie at the Stowe Library.
